zoom into the timeline... the PgUp and PgDown keys are one way to zoom in
and out....
look for clips on the Title Overlay track.... those are your titles... at
least some of them. Select one and press the delete key.
You might also have title animations as clips on the video track.... zoomed
down pretty far will help you see them. Again, delete them.

I've read that you can remove animations from the timeline - but you
can't - animations dont appear in the timeline
