It's just still shots - a simple slide show. I made it on my old computer, running XP, using the resident Windows Movie Maker ver. 2.1.4026.0 and saved as a mswmm file. I copied that to a disc, and saved it on my new computer running Vista Ultimate.
I've watched it there as a mswmm file and as an avi file. The "shadow" is present in both formats.
Another really odd thing is that when I try to view the original mswmm slide show directly in Movie Maker, it doesn't allow it - says "codec not loaded". But, if I find it through Explorer and double click it, it pops into Movie Maker and loads perfectly.
Is there a problem going from XP to Vista with mswmm files? The shadow is a separate problem, I think.

When I play it now, most of the title screens display a "shadow" on
the lettering that wasn't there with the original show.
I can't find a way to change/eliminate the shadow. Anyone have any
suggestions?
Many thanks!

Slide Show? Still shots only?
Which program created the Slide Show
and what format is it saved in?
