If the problem is something within the song's file structure you can
probably fix it by opening the song in a sound editor and re-saving it with
standard parameters, either as WMA, MP3 or WAV. I've had the odd Mp3
particularly that had incorrect metadata information yet they still played.
Resaving corrected the errors.

Okay, I'm trying to make a video, with background music. The song is 2:52
long when I check it in Media Player, Windows Explorer, and even the
Import
window in Movie Maker. But when I import it the song ends up being about
5:26
long.
When i put it in the Timeline, the whole audio bar is filled up with music
up to the 2:52 point, at which the bars that indicate sound level become
nothing. BUT when i preview it from a point in that "nothing" the song
plays
normally. And when i play it in the preview window it plays up to the 2:52
point, the music ends, and it jumps to the 5:26 point. It seems that when
I
play it from anywhere but the beginning it messes up the time. I haven't
had
this problem before with any other songs, so I guess something is wrong
with
the file. Could someone tell me what's wrong and what should i do?
By the way, the song is "Don't You Know Who I Think I Am" by Fall Out Boy.
