Sorry it is 2GB. I still have to learn how to shut everything down and run
only Vista. Movie Maker is new to me also along with Vista so it will be
awhile
before I get back about how I fixed the problem.

John's suggestion is good, but it should be perfectly doable in WMM.
You don't need speed or processing power to MAKE a movie... you need
it to PLAY a movie. Your computer will take as much time as it needs
to make your movie.

What I recommend is choosing an output format that fits your intended
audience. So the next questions are: Who is your intended audience?
How are they expected to view your movie?

Your answers to those questions could have a big impact on how you
choose to generate the movie.

As far as I can tell, your hardware is more than sufficient to play
back a movie, unless your hard drive is severely fragmented and you
chose a movie output format with an extremely high bit rate and/or
your got other software running simultaneously with the movie
playback, stealing both CPU time and RAM. I'd shut down everything
but Windows itself and try to play the movie.

But again, you may have chosen a bit rate and resolution that's far
above what's needed.

video and from that point on MM would not respond. It just clocked. I could
not even stop the process through Task Manager. Once it gets to that point
you have to shut down to stop it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am desperate at this point and do
not know how to fix this issue.
