There has to be a file in there or what are you going to see teh detials
of???

The clips will be files, so what file type are they?

If they are incomaptible with MM then this may cause the problem,

Try deleteing all the collections, if they are not valuable and restart MM
and just import the sample wmv file from "My Videos" and see if you can
switch views with this file.

Yes, in Movie Maker. There aren't any files, per se. Just the standard
clips in the contents pane. It happens in all collections. The clips are
fine in the Thumbnails view. MM just won't let me switch to Details view
using either the View menu or the toolbar buttons.
