the bad news is that you can't get your collections file back with the 300
or more thumbnails.. Movie Maker wiped the slate clean...
the good news is the projects you've made already have the info in them so
the collections file isn't needed by them, as you see.... and the source
files are still there, so you'll only need to reimport any you need for
future project work.
my website's Manage Your Files > Collections page has info about where the
file is, so you can back it up.... I guess it's time for me to add a note
there about the chance of losing it when you do a restore.

I recently did a system restore, and now my collections have vanished.
Weird
thing is, all my video files still work - I didn't have to manually search
for the files again, they're all right there. And my projects play
normally.
Anyone know if there is any way of restoring my collections list as it
was?
The prospect of reimporting over 300 files is not a pleasant one...
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!
