check my newsletter #124.... it's online with a link on my Manage Your Files
Collections page
because it takes some work to make a collection database to get it to just
how you want it... the newsletter is about how I use MM1 to make and
maintain the collections of our latest trip to Europe (9,000+ still pix and
20 hours of video footage). There's a collection for each of the main cities
we stayed in.
I import the MM1 collections into MM2 as needed, delete them in MM2 when I
finished the session.

Whenever I import a video into my collections, MM just creates a new
collection. If I import a picture or an audio file, it puts it in the
collection that is open at the time. I use many videos to make my movies
and
I don't like having to search through my collections to find them. For
example, in PS3 I created 2 video files - 1 of our vacation in city1 and
another of our vacation in city2. I also created a special video that
shows a
map of the US and follows a line from city1 to city2. I open MM and
import
the video for city1 into an empty collection then I import the video for
city2 but I am forced to put it in a new collection - same with the
special
transition video. Now I have 3 videos in 3 separate collections but all
for
the same movie. I find this very frustrating and if you can help I would
appreciate it.
