Hi Graham and thanks for the response. After a day or so of getting
annoyed
and removing and testing stuff using sherlock etc I found out that I had
a
codecs pack that I downloaded a while ago.
It must have been a codec conflict as when I uninstalled the pack the
picture came back.
A message to anyone that has a black screen when previewing. Remove
those
bloody codec packs you downloaded and only download ones that you really
need
individually.
