Thank you very much. I uninstalled IE 7 and went back to IE6. MM started
working immediately. I did not even have to do a reinstall of MM. Please
pass this along to those who may be having the same problem!

you are describing but maybe the following
info will offer some ideas.
Some users have reported problems
after installing IE7. If this applies to your
situation ...uninstalling IE7 may be worth
a try.
Movie Maker 2.1 is a component of WinXP
SP2...if you would like to reinstall SP2, you
can download it from the following site.
Download Windows XP SP2
http://tinyurl.com/6ubys
Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.
It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.
And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
