Using WIndows Movie Maker, I imported a big MPEG. No problems there, I
can save the whole monstrosity to wmv if I wanted to.
But I want to select a few portions of that video and put them in
smaller WMVs for my webpage.
How can I do that? Version 5.1.
Re: WMV/MPEG will no longer open from IE7 ... Usually your problem happens when a newly installed program hijacks those file types for itself. ... I had the same problem after installing winamp.... Try going into the offending program's Options and uncheck the WMV and MPEG file types.... (microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer)

Jedenfalls kann ich nicht behaupten, dass die WMV-Encoder von Microsoft besonders schlecht waren - und AVI hat imho auch kaum Probleme bereitet - aber naja, ist wohl Geschmacksache. ... Wenn Du im WMM 6.0 eine Datei exportierst, kannst Du das Format (AVI unkomprimiert -> DVI PAL, oder WMV) verwenden. ... Allerdings hat Microsoft den Encoder zwischenzeitlich mehrfach überarbeitet, so dass er auch WMV-HD-Material speichern kann. ...MPEG in WMV und von WMV in DVD-Video dauert sicher mindestens 5 Stunden ... For example I have taken a 4 min video with a Sony HD cam and on ... Even going into the mpeg menu ... cannot play flash movies.... (rec.video.production)
