Re: Capturing Video does not split into clips

Hi, I read the entries in this db about video clips not splitting.
Do I understand the following correctly?
Capturing video from a digital handycam will split into clips based
on a time change. So the start/stop buttons in the Capture Wizard
won't force a clip if a time change is not present, correct?

When I use my older Sony handycam, the video splits into clips. When
I shot the video, I toggled between Standby and Record to capture
plays in a football game. I get clips where I went back and forth
from Standby to Record, so I assume that is where timestamps
happened. When I use my new Sony handycam, even if I use the
Start/Stop Capture buttons, I do not get clips. I toggled between
Standby and Record to capture the football plays just like with the
old camera, but I don't get any clips. I assume that my camera
probably doesn't create timestamps. So the best thing for me to do
would be to figure out how to make my camera create timestamps,
right?

Thank you!

Just one thought...on your
Movie Maker...Import File screen...
is there a check in the box
"Create Clips For Video Files"?
