changing the file extension doesn't change the type of file it is... if you
changed your last name, you would still be you....
you need to do an actual file conversion to get the file into an AVI file
type.
see my website's Import Movie Source Files for pointers

Papajohn:
I think you can helpme with this issue:
I have a DVD hitachi camera that make video files in format .VRO . What I
did, I dowload the file to my pc, then I change the extension . VRO for
.AVI
(Actually I could change it by any video format MPEG etc)
I want to make a video edition with MS Moviemaker and I import little
files
(videoclips) that I have in my pc that I did with an small photo camera.
Until this point everithing is ok.
The problem is when I want to import the file that I download from my DVD
camera
A message like this pups up :C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My
Documents\My
Videos\clara.avi could not be imported. An interface has too many methods
to
fire events from.
I try to fix the problem changing the extension to each extension
available
but no one works.
Give me a hand with that Please
Thanks in advance and God bless you
.
