wasn't an issue), double checked to see if everything I
used was on my hard-drive. Went back to MM and tried to
resave- it quickly goes through the saving process brings
me to Create a DVD popup. It creates disc, converts files
and then near the end a popup comes up "MM cannot create
the DVD because an error occured" doesn't say what the
error is to fix it and the DVD even though it's
rewritable can't be used or deleted.

Apparently you are running the Media Center Edition of Windows XP? The
DVD option in the MCE version of Movie Maker has been reportedly unreliable and I would suggest that you save your project as a movie...(.wmv or ..avi) and use a different program to burn your DVD.
