Does anyone know if there are any issues with a movie made in ver 5.1
being
played on older versions of media players (i.e. pre win 2000) with no
access
to internet to download latest codecs?

Movie maker is independent of Win Media players.
If you can produce a clip via WMM, then on that PC
will be all that is required for playback via WMP on
same PC.
WMM produces files, that may not be compatible
some types of propriatary media players.
What are you referring to in "ver 5.1"?
Your question is also oblique in respect:
"Older versions of media players (i.e. pre win 2000)".?

Do you mean you will be producing clips via WMM on one PC,
for playback on another PC?
