Re: pictures to dvd

Movie Maker itself can't create a DVD.
If you have an MCE (Media Center Edition) PC then you do have a "Burn to
DVD" option that makes life easier for the computer novice but I rarely if
ever recommend using it because it creates coasters from blank DVD's quite
often and if you do get a DVD that works it may or may not be the result you
actually wanted.
Instead I recommend saving your movie project to your harddrive as a DV-AVI
(or High Quality NTSC if you are only working with still images and audio)
so you can make sure the project actually saves properly and preview the
actual finished product in your media player to see if the quality is what
you want.
If you like the results then you import the video into a DVD Authoring
program (such as Ulead Movie Factory or Sonic's MyDVD) to create a DVD video
for you that plays on a standard DVD player. If you only want to play it on
a computer from DVD then you can simply use Nero or some other Data DVD
creating software (one comes with ALL computer's that have a DVD Burner) to
copy the AVI or WMV file to it. Then it will play on a computer as a video
file but will NOT play in a DVD player.
See my website for more details about saving to your harddrive as well as
quite a few of the most popular DVD Authoring programs.
