command-line parameters

Dear all,
I need to be able to start/stop recording from a camcorder from vba (os
is win xp pro). I would like to do it with movie maker, as I didn't find
many tools. The application has a start and a stop button. No preview is
required. Recording may last 1 hour, so file format has to be compressed
in some way.
I have 2 ways to do it:
1. command-line parameters.
I read that moviemk /record <filename> allows to start moviemaker in
recording mode, but couldn't find a list of the parameters that can be
used nor in movie maker help, nor on microsoft web site. Does someone
have the list?
2. OLE.
Does someone have examples of using movie maker? Which library do I have
to reference?
Of course, if you know other tools, any proposition is welcome.
Cheers,
Alain Bourgeois
PS: if you could put my e-mail in cc of your answer, it would be
perfert.
