Re: Help with XML Title overlay

Hi dickmr,

Thanks for your reply.

Well I followed the instructions in the help menu to create a transparent
pic. If you noticed the pic, it does have a white background. I reopened
the picture and I tried using the eraser but it doesn't erase anything.

I'll see if I can post it there.

I think your best answer will be on that thread on the MovieMakers Forum.
It
does seem that your 'overlay' was found and it is in the correct location
in
your AddOnTFX folder...and therefore it is actually overlaying your video.
Since you cannot see the background video, I believe you do not really
have a
'transparent' picture that you produced in Paint. Everything other than
your logo should be transparent. I don't work with Paint, but if you
have
Paint Shop Pro, just use the 'eraser' tool and clear all of the background
except for your logo. I suggest you post and search for an answer on
that
thread (posting brings it up front and center), since it appears that
several
of the posters had the same problem as you, and then later solved it.
Good
luck.

Hi - Obviously I'm not understanding something or I just don't get it.
I
followed explicit instructions on how to do this via this site
http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=12624 and
it
is not working. The video is playing because I can see the progress bar
in
the preview window but I can not see the video. However, when I take
off
the title overlay I created I can see it. Here is the code and picture
is
attached which was created as a gif in Paint.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Titles>
<TitleDLL guid="{353359C1-39E1-491b-9951-464FD8AB071C}">
<Title name="@My Logo" iconid="13"

comment="http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=12624
">
<Param name="InternalName" value="TitleMultiTitles"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Puts mylogo.gif in bottom right
corner"/>
<Param name="LogoBitmapFilename" value="C:\Program Files\Movie
Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX\mylogo.gif"/>
<Param name="LogoRect" value="0.8 0.8 0.2 0.2"/>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="IsOneLine" value="true"/>
<Param name="BoundingRect" value="0.1 0.075 0.8 0.15"/>
<Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="32"/>
</Paragraph>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="IsOneLine" value="true"/>
<Param name="BoundingRect" value="0.1 0.25 0.8 0.1"/>
<Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="32"/>
</Paragraph>
</Title>
</TitleDLL>
</Titles>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

Thanks in advance.
