Well if simply rebooting your computer didn't do the trick and since you are
seeing bad blocks then defrag the harddrive and you should be fine.

Movie Maker hanged while rserving 4GB of disk space to save a video. Since
then, I cannot get these 4 GB back! Is there a way to do it? Where and how
are they "reserved"? In the system log, I also noticed several bad blocks
being reported on the disk.
