The music that you purchased has DRM (Digital Rights Management).
Apparently, when you signed up and paid for the music, you did not read what
you are allowed to do with the music. DRM restricts the copying of the
music to other than the drive you downloaded it to. It is not something
that Microsoft can do anything about.

In the future, when signing up for anything on the internet, take the time
to read the agreement that you are signing on to...

In short, you paid to download the music to your hard drive, but it cannot
be copied. It was in the agreement that you agreed to when you signed up.
