On the data backup etc I too keep i,portant stuff on the original tape as
well as creating a DVD for general use and one as an archive. None of it is
really old enough yet to worry about disc failure. I guess I will start
checkng for problems next year...a friend in the trade reports that some
DVD's can fail as early as 24months from date of manufacture. I hope he was
talking about the cheap stuff.

On using small video clips as individual files on a DVD so as to emulate
chapters...can you set an option to go to the next video at the end of one
of your clips/chapters or are you forced back to the main menu? Dazzle DVD
Complete lets you set a range of options at the end of a clip including
jumping to different menus etc. Nero has some of those...jump to next clip
is one of them
