Playing DVD via TV

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Just completed my first slide show, saved it to a DVD as instructed using
DV-AV1 (PAL) burned with Sonic Version 7 on my HP Laptop using a DVD-R disc.
It will not play on my main DVD player OR the player in my laptop
(InterVideo WinDVD) but will play when I select play via Windows Media Player.
My main player is a Panasonic DV-565A which appears to be able to play
everything other than 78's
.
