I have a Sony DC40 and use firewire to tranfer to my laptop, which has MM 1
and a cd burner. I have a new grandchild and I want to take movies of her to
have forever AND I want to share them with family in my home. Purchasing
media is not a problem but here are my questions: for best playback in my
home I'm assuming from the camcorder's tapes to the TV (I haven't tried it
yet, just got all this stuff) since I can't at present burn DVD's. So, would
this be the scheme - take movies, edit/save in computer, transfer back to
camcorder on new tape? I want the best possible playback. I will get a DVD
burner in the future and transfer from the computer to DVD but that's a ways
off.
Does anyone know how many minutes (at highest quality) you can store on a
CD? Thanks for all the great info on this users group!
