Hi!

If you are reading this and you know something or everything of digital
movie editing, then, you would be my salvation. I have been having this issue
since two weeks ago.

I am using a DELL INSPIRON 8200 with 512 of RAM that has a firewire port
which I used to have downloaded a movie from my SONY TR460. Apparently, the
transfer does well with Windows Movie Maker, with ULEAD VIDEO STUDIO 7 DVD,
with SONIC WIZARD DVD and with ULEAD DVDFACTORY.

However, when I playback that movie on my PC there are things very wrong. A
two-hour movie appears to be a 20 minute movie when played on Windows Media
Player. Plus, the sound and the images skip and go crazy.

At the beginning, I thought that this anormality was part of editing and at
the moment of burning a DVD the problem would dissapear, but it dit not. I
contacted SONY, DELL and they could not solve this problem. I downloaded
upgrades and tried to change different options in the settings, but I did not
succeed.

It cannot be the capacity of my computer because I am using an additional
hard drive and the 512 RAM of speed. It cannot be the camera either because
it works playing back even the 8 mm tapes, although the camera is a digital
one. I also tried to change the tapes (8mm, S8, D8) when trying to have them
on my computer, but the issue remained the same.

I was thinking of something wrong with the settings or the software I was
using, but since ULEAD DVD FACTORY worked (only decoded correctly the first
thirteen minutes) all this makes me think about a setting or something that I
did not do properly...or maybe it is an issue of compatibility...or maybe
just my computer is spoiled..

What do you think?
