Importing mpg and saving it to DV-AVI the AVI-file contain only audio.
Importing the AVI file into adobe premiere gives me only the first and the
last frame and all the audio. Right clicking the file and then properties
says that the file contains only audio. The file is playable in mp9 (movie
and audio) This was not a problem before innstalling the XP-servpack2.

compressed audio with avi file ... I have checked the message board and have not seen this question ... Obviously the audio and video quality is lower than a digital ... when I import the avi files into WMM the audio sounds really ... My temporary solution has been opening the avi file in Nero Vision Express 2 ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker)
