Piper,
I run Pinnacle Studio 8.8 on my laptop with MM1 and MM2 and have never had a
conflict or new Movie Maker issue as a result of installing Studio.
Studio 8 came with my Dazzle 80 a few months ago and I use it regularly.
I know it doesn't help your problem(s).
