Hi there,

Just a couple of momentary thoughts :)

A camera that burns DVD's !!! Erm, how big is it.....does it come with
        Charles Atlas DVD's as well?

Seriously, why would you want to spend money on a gimmick. Take a few weeks
and look at all of the available Mags in your area or get hold of the
appropriate Which Mag and see what's going on. By a device that is
suitable, DO NOT buy one full of gimmicks or you will end up paying a lot
of money for after care service/insurance...the axiom "The more there is
the more it can go wrong" could never be more appropriate. A camera that
        burns DVD's :) what next I wonder!!

The digitizing side of things is pretty well sown up nowadays as it is with
the quality you can expect to get from a roll of film. The one thing that
will always set any two cameras apart is the lens....crap lens in really
neat body with lots of clever devices and buttons = crap video. in the case
of digital video you need the largest pixel array that you can afford. The
same augment applies with pixel array as it does to the lens...

There are loads of cameras now and asking any one person what they think
you should buy will almost always generate a biased reply. Most people
would not want to admit, even to themselves, that the camera they bought
was not as good as they though it would be. Go read something unbiased and
make sure that the magazine you just picked up is not subsidized by some
        camera company
