Hi CW,
That sort of thing is relatively easy in the MovieX range of products
from AIST (Link on my site) Off the top of my head I am not certain if the
free version (from my site again) will do it...the method is easy....you
make a grey scale image where the centre is total black and it feathers out
to white...you use that as a "Mask" for the video you want to do the effect
on...the result is that the centre is perfectly clear but the outside edge
is transparent. You alter the shape of the circle to an oval or something
similar so that you catch the majority of the bride......most paint packages
will let you create something like that. The top of the range MovieDV 6
comes with the tools built in and at US $69 its pretty smoky. (Don't go
buying it until you have had a play with the free version, it requires more
input than movie maker which has just about all decisions made for you)
