Not settings, per se, but I have some magic beans I'll sell ya....
Seriously, the two bottlenecks are the Hard Disk (during capture) and the
CPU (during encoding). To enhance capture, make sure your disk is
defragmented. To free up CPU cycles, try closing all other programs while
running WMM2, and disable startup items using the MSCONFIG.exe.
These suggestions apply, of course to performance in general and are not
specific to Movie Maker.

PS - I just love how people think you can "unlock" performance, like they've
intentionally hamstrung it....
