Total novice taking first steps with Windows Movie Maker ..... and with PC100E Sony.
Sony make whatosever no mention of linking Camera to a PC in the instructions, only to a TV, things have obviously moved on since we bought the camera in 2001 .....
Am I right in thinking that I need an S-Video cable, same both ends is it were ?
There's an S-Video (4 round-pins, plus one oblong, yes ?) socket on the camera, and a similar one on what I take to be the Video Card, since the exit for the screen comes off just next door. There's also a 3x8 and 2x2 socket on the PC, so 24-pin and 4-pin on the same plug apparently.
Which is the best way to transfer, and is a Video card such as a GeForce FX5200 adequate/compatible with what I'm trying to do ?
Many thanks,
Rory (Montpellier, France)
