Hi Amy,

What you might be into is the differences in AVI types that MM1 and MM2
produce.... I didn't realize that the differences included changes in the
normal versus capital letters....

MM1 produces the older type II DV-AVI files while MM2 produces newer type I
files.... many software apps can only handle the older type II.

So you might need to convert the type I to a type II before using your app
to convert to MPEG. See the Setup > Software page of www.papajohn.org for a
conversion utility.

convert to mpeg2 and burn them on SVCD. Now I have mm2 and my files come
out with little avi extensions, and I cant convert them to mpeg1 or mpeg 2.
My camcorder is a mini DV device and captures video through IEEE controller.
Is there anyway I can capture or save my projects as a big AVI extension.
Thank you.
