Re: How do I set up a Web Cam for Realtime Phone calls please

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Greetings,

All the applications you've mentioned support standard webcams in Windows, including the
QuickCam 9000. All you need to do is install the drivers (preferably from www.logitech.com,
not the CD), plug it in and then go.

One other minor step you might need is to configure the camera device in each application if
it doesn't automatically select it. Since you have no other capture devices, this probably
won't be necessary. To get to the configuration wizard in Messenger however, open up any
Messenger window, press the Alt key on the keyboard, choose Tools, and then Audio and video
setup. In Skype, you'll find the options under the Tools menu, Options, Video Settings.
