Greetings,
The page to send a new confirmation e-mail is here:
https://account.live.com/verifysi.aspx?mkt=en-us&rp=summarypage
and failing that you can contact Windows Live ID Services manually:
https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=wlid&ct=eformts
You can uninstall Windows Live Messenger from Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
If you want to remove Windows Messenger you'll need to click the Start button, then click Run
and enter:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Then click OK.

I just want to get rid of this pop-up message from WinXP Messenger. It never
sends the confirmation email to my box. Then I thought I'd out smart it and
install what I thought was just an upgrade and now I have Win Live Messenger
as well. I don't need both! May not want either! How do I uninstall one or
the other?
