MSN Cannot type login/password... freezes right away

I've read about problems other people have had, but I haven't found
one like mine despite my searches...

I can login to MSN through meebo.com, but cannot get any MSN program
to work e.g. Messenger 7.5 or Windows Live...

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc. This happened
a few months ago to begin with, but my internet connection sucks, so I
get dropped from meebo.com all the time, which is the reason I need to
get MSN working...

So, when I load MSN or Windows Live, I click on the login and as soon
as I hit a letter my cursor disappears and I do not see the letter I
typed... then if I click on the program anywhere, it shows the 'not
responding' message at the top program bar... I use Skype and it works
fine, but I have similar problems with AIM and Yahoo. None of my
other programs are affected and I can still use Word, Firefox, Winamp,
etc without anything slowing down.

Please help me!
