Hi,
In that case, try downloading and running each of these .reg files:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablewindowsmessenger_use...
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablemessenger.reg
After running these, reboot and then try opening Windows Messenger again.

I double click on the messenger icon in my program file, but the program
