The Windows Messenger team has been disbanded for quite some time.
It is essentially a dead product.

Hello.
Does Windows Messenger have a future roadmap?
It seems that MSN Messenger, or Windows Live Messenger, have replaced
Windows Messenger for the consumer. And, Communicator has replaced
Windows
Messenger for corporate users because of its ties to Exchange and LCS.
Will there be future versions of Windows Messenger? If so, what need does
it fulfill for consumer or corporate users that aren't fulfilled by
Windows
Live Messenger and Communicator?
Thanks - Dave
