Quick Cam \ XP \ Netgear RT 311 - TimeOut

Hi,
I'm having trouble using my Quick Cam (8.4.8) Messenger (8.1) and my
Netgear RT31 & Comcast (DHCP being used) The camera tests fine within
messager.
When attempting to connect to a buddy the session times out. I have
not been able to use the camera since I bought it. Can someone help?
