Webcam Icon lost during video call ?!?

Hi folks,
since two weeks I have a strange problem, during a video call the
small cam icon under my image disappears during a video call.

It is normally there when not in a video call, but as I start video
call it disappears.. I find it annoying.

Know if it is a "feature" of new version 8.1.0178? I tried to
uninstall Windows live messenger and re install it but problem still
there.

Please tell me if have experienced the same annoying issue
