I tried to convert to NTFS using the convert.exe cmd shortcut. I got the
message to type in the volume label for c: and so I did: "Local drive". Then
I get the message that the conversion can't be done because it's used by
another process.
Do I have to restart the computer in failsafe mode or what?

Greetings,
In order for sharing folders to work, your hard disk drive where your Windows profile is
stored must use the NTFS file system. More then likely your drive has been set up using
FAT32 especially if you upgraded it or obtained it around 3-4 years ago before NTFS was
considered standard.
You can upgrade your drive to NTFS without any real problem and no data loss by simply
following the instructions here:

When I look at my account settings in windows live msgr, it says that my
computer doesn't support sharing folders. How do I change this? I looked at
my firewall list and it already has a checkmark next to "sharing folders and
files" and "windows live msgr" in the 'exceptions' list... Anyone know what
to do? I'd appreciate the help greatly! Thanks!
