Webcam problems

My webcam refuses to connect to *some* of my contacts, I was using the general 8.0 release but have now installed 8.1 beta (168) hoping that might sort things out... it didn't.

The web cam will connect as follows:

Contact A - cannot connect via MSN at all, get the following text:

***** is inviting you to start sending webcam. Do you want to Accept (Alt+C) or Decline (Alt+D) the invitation?

You have accepted the invitation to start sending webcam.

***** has stopped viewing webcam with you.

Or equivalent depending on who is inviting whom to send the webcam.

Contact B - cannot connect via MSN as above but can using skype, works fine.

Contact C & D - Can cannot via MSN.

I could contact A & B without trouble but now nothing, C & D still work fine... I have tried updating drivers, checking the settings, firewalls etc etc but nothing helps..

The webcam is working fine and appears in the webcam settings window so I know that it is working (in addition to it working in skype..)

Any ideas?

Thanks!
