He might want to check that the option hasn't been turned off. To do so, he just needs to
click the Tools menu (or press Alt-T), then Options, then Security category and make sure
'This is a shared computer so don't store my address book, display picture or personal
message on it' isn't selected.

One of my buddies has a problem with the background of the conversation
windows. He's able to set a background but when he logs off and on again the
background is not there. Is there something he can something to fix that
problem?
