I'm getting...been getting since summer...the same behavior from my 5.1.0701
version of windows messenger.
I have to log onto my email twice in a row to restart it every so many hours
or more.

Greetings JSF,
The protocol used with Windows Messenger 4.7 is known for this happening
regularly. The
protocol was actually changed to fixed this problem and if you using Windows
Live Messenger
8, you'll be able to take advantage of it
(http://get.live.com/messenger/overview).

My Messenger service has been signing itself out, and I can't think of a
reason why. I have run it on 2 different PC's that I own, one in the USA
and
the other in the UK (not simultaneously, of course), and it happens on
both.
My contacts think I am signing out and can't reach me, which is the major
issue. I need it back as it was, signed-in as long as my PC is on, can
anyone
help please.
