See if the workaround in the following blog entry helps you. While the
description of the issue is slightly different, the same fix should have
positive effect on your system (and worse case scenerio, you don't really
break anything if it doesn't work).

I'm having the same problem. I put in the login, and password, and it

the login, and then just sits there with those little pawns spinning

It started for my about October 15/16. Funny thing is I can't login using

I tried uninstalling MSMessenger 8.0, deleting all the associated files,
and
even cleaning it out of the registry, rebooting, and then reinstalling,

it still fails. I came here as a last resort, and I see that there are
many
people having the same issue. COuld it be this problem is related to
Microsoft, or some new security breach?
