Actually Messenger only allows one-on-one conversations, no multiparty voice conversations at
all.

Skype is the solution here, but using the normal Skype feature isn't going to work (as you
already noticed). Instead, maybe try a Skypecast:
https://skypecasts.skype.com/skypecasts/home

Or, assuming some of your party is in the US or Canada, you can dial up to another
conferencing system like EasyConference in Skype:
http://www.easyconference.com

and then some, or all parties can dial into the same number (via Skype). Since Skype allows
unlimited calling at the moment to US and Canada numbers (which include EasyConference), this
makes a decent solution.

We have a need to talk 7-8 people in a meeting - and figured we could use
messenger for this ? - Is it possible ? - or is there any limitations to the
software that does this impossible ?

We tryed using skype - but it max. out with 5 users in one meeting
