Hi Mitchi,
Tell them to shut down Messenger entirely by right-clicking on its icon in the notification
area and choosing Exit, then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/remove_wlmpolicies.reg
Then after signing in again within 30-40 seconds it should refresh all the contacts,
including yours.

Several days ago, I had some trouble while adding 2 contacts to my msn. Af
first, neither of us can see the other being online when we talked. But right
after I re-added them for like 30+ times continuously, their nicknames and
display pics became visable to me. However, I am still appearing offline on
their list. One of the contacts used another computer to sign into his
account, I finally appeared online! But when he logs back on to his own
computer, I am still shown offline. Why is this happening? Can this problem
be resolved? Thanks.
