When I go start, All Programs, Windows Messenger, My Computer opens instead.
I can however open Windows Messenger via start, Run & typing in 'msmsgs' as
you previously suggested but would like to restore the original access via
the All Programs menu. Thanks again.

Thanks Patrick. May I also ask, how can I get Windows Messenger to bea
restored to open up upon going thru the menu structure 'all programs'
'windows messenger'? Currently via going thru the above, it is opening up
window for 'my computer'.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. When you try to launch
Messenger, My Computer opens instead?

I have lost my windows messenger icon on the system tray & via goingthrough
'all programs', when clicking on windows messenger, I am directed to
fromcomputer'. I want to uninstall or at least turn off windows messenger
(Isigning on when I go online. My girlfriend was chatting on my computer
online, have never chatted nor ever wanted to) & subsequently when I went
messages.her
IM address was signing in & I was being inundated with all her
leftShe
tried to turn off her IM address from signing in when I go online &
computerme
with no icon & no means to get into the menu structure of windowsmessenger,
except I am still getting all her messages. I just want to stop beingannoyed
by her IM address signing in & all the pop-ups appearing on my
gowhen
her friends are wanting to message with her.
Also, to get to Windows Messenger to turn its auto-connect options off,
to Start, Run, and type 'msmsgs' and press Enter.
