Yes, but you'll have to turn the entire welcome screen mail feature
off.
To disable this feature, download the TweakUI powertoy:
http://tinyurl.com/4jy33 (see on the right).
After you have TweakUI installed, click Start, All Programs, Powertoys
for Windows XP, and
choose TweakUI for Windows XP. In the TweakUI window, on the left,
click the '+' next to
Logon, and choose Unread Mail. Uncheck 'Show unread mail on Welcome
screen' and click OK.

Whenever I'm on the Messenger and there is an email in my account,

show up on my welcome screen once I log off. This will stay on for
three days even if I go in an open the email up and delete it. Is
there a way of not having that notification show up on my welcom

Does this mean that the Welcome screen will no longer be there after I
download this or is it just the notification?
