The Windows Messenger version that comes with Windows XP will only connect to the .NET
Messenger network (although the original version that comes with older Windows XP versions
did actually connect to corporate networks, but this was removed and is available separately
in a 5.1 version now).
Just to clarify, the .NET Messenger network is what MSN Messenger (and Windows Live
Messenger) use.
