Thanks for your thoughts. I tried looking in the many preferences options,
along with the many help links, and could not find anything concerning this
pop up. I even wrote a note to Yahoo. I guess when something is FREE... you
pretty much get what you pay for in customer service :-)

I am sure that there is a way to turn this off in the settings of the
messenger...
look in there carefully

I don't know if this forum is the proper place to post my question...
BUT.... I 'm being
bugged by the Yahoo Messenger pop ups for me to upgrade to their new
version
7.5, or the Beta version 8. I'm running version 6 right now, and I'm
pretty
happy with it. The last time this happened, I could not turn off the pop
ups and clicking on the "no thanks" button only works till the next time
you
sign on. Why can't one just use a simple version of Yahoo Messenger,
and
not "HAVE TO" upgrade all the time, with no choice in the matter. I
really
have no use for all the "bells and whistles" that Yahoo pushes.
What are my choices? - Trillian?
Thanks,
Dan
