Messenger will resize "static" emoticons to 19x19 and animated (GIF) emoticons to 50x50.

Sorry for my english, I hope you will understand me.
I download several emoticons, but many of them, in a normal viewer, appear ok, then when I
put them in messanger they are smaller and it's hard to guess what they really mean. Does
anybody now how to avoid that?
