I assume you mean they remain on your contact list. The only way you can
delete completely is by mutual agreement with the other person. In other
word you must ask him/her to remove you from his/her contact list and then
you must do the same thing. If you don't wisdh to contact them the only
thing you can do is block them, so they can't see you when you are online.
